Bowood Park, set in 230 acres of rolling hills and woodland and designated an area of Special Landscape Value, once formed part of a 13th century deer park owned by Edward Prince of Wales formerly known as The Black Prince. Bowood is now home to a luxury 31 bedroom three star hotel with an award-winning restaurant, and outstanding 18 hole challenging golf course. The 18 hole, Bob Sandow designed championship golf course is regarded as one of the South West's premier parkland courses. The par 72, 6672 yard course has been cleverly designed to challenge the best of golfers whilst still allowing the odd erratic shot without ruining your round. If you are playing from the championship tees, the longest hole in Cornwall, the 600 yard par 5 seventh, should prove a tough challenge. Visitors are always welcome and the hotel offers some great 'Stay & Play' deals.
