Eaton Golf Club moved from The Duke of Westminster's Eaton Hall to the Cheshire village of Waverton in 1993. This course will delight and challenge golfers of every standard. In gently undulating countryside, it is an impressive 6580 yards, par 72, 18 hole course designed by the celebrated course architect Donald Steel. It is situated beside the Shropshire Union Canal and incorporates not only some original features of the land including a brook and a wealth of fine old oak trees but also many new copses and several ponds. The abundance of wildlife is encouraged by retaining and improving habitats, providing additional pleasure for golfers. The superb greens, built to USGA standards, are a test for even the most accomplished of putters. Visitors are welcome though handicap certificates are required.
