The Eden Golf Club is a hidden gem situated along the banks of the River Eden with beautiful views of the Lake District and Pennine fells. The club has two golf courses the 18 hole Championship course and the 9 hole Hadrians golf course. The Championship course opened in 1991 and has matured into a course which receives great praise from visiting golfers for it's immaculate condition, beautiful environment and above all it's ability to test golfers without being unfair. The fairways wind their way through the fifty acres of woodland around which the course is designed although tremendous views of the Pennine and Lakeland fells are still afforded on various parts of the course. The river Eden is very much a hazard on holes 4 and 5 and water is in play on several other holes. The Hadrians 9 hole course was opened in 2007 and offers a contrast in style to the Championship course. The clubhouse and practice facilities are of the same quality as the golf courses. Visitors are always welcome.
