The course was originally laid out in 1904 on land owned by Lord Tweeddale in the village of Gifford. Being set in such a tranquil surrounding at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills the course offers rolling, tree lined fairways crossed several times by the Speedy Burn and leading to greens which are excellent and always a challenge to read.
Visitors are always welcome at this course described by Bernard Gallacher (Ryder Cup Captain) as 'An enjoyable course to play and set in beautiful surroundings', contact club to make arrangements.
