Nice course.

Nice course . . .played here today in a Mizuno Matchplay event. Was expecting to have courtesy or at least a reduced green fee . . .but got stung for £36 at members guest rate. The pro in the shop is a bit miserable . . .and even all the members know that!!

Course was in great condition and many challenging holes. A pleasure to play. Definitely worth a go.

Had a few pints in the clubhouse afterwards with our opponents which was great.

Will be back for another round over the summer.

Excellent; highly recommended

Kingswood GC is a conventionally structured par 72 designed by the legendary James Braid. The course was in great condition despite the severely frosty conditions. Nevertheless the quality of the course and golfing challenge was evident. The nature of the course changed for the last three or four holes.
The winter visitor/society green fee of £30 was excellent VFM; our bad luck was to encounter the severe frost on the day we played it. Visitor green fees are significantly higher in the summer period.
Hospitality was generally very good; catering also good but a little pricy!!!
I hope to get another change to play this course at its best.

Kingswood Golf Club

Have waited a long time to play Kingswood golf club, £37.50 a round twilight rate, very friendly pro shop and looking at the course walking to the 1st tee you can see it is kept in great nick - greens very fast!!!!!

This is a challenging course, tree line, bunkers spread everywhere(you will find a bunker guaranteed) and some of the pins placed in difficult postions on the greens and plays 6500yrds off the yellow tees.

Over all I enjoyed my round here, I couldnt say there were any amazing holes, par 3's straight forward and some of the holes felt a bit same-ish, proberly 12th hole being my pick of the best,

So would I pay £59 greenfee if I was not playing twilight, probably not

New layout

Well i managed to play here about 18 months ago and today was just as nice, just a touch colder.... The whole course is being revised with some very tricky bunkers, that will and should be ready for the summer, so if you have played it before it will be well worth the visit in 2009.... Great course to have a society day
