Originally designed by Harry Colt and established in 1908, Ladbrook Park Golf Club is hidden away on the border of Warwickshire and Worcestershire and adjoins the village of Tanworth-in-Arden. A typically facinating Harry Colt design, it is a mature par 71 parkland course of 6460 yards (off the back-tees) bordered by mature woodland with a wide variety of flora and fauna. The brook, which gives the club its name, weaves its way throughout the layout coming into play on several occasions. In fact with 4 ponds on the course, water comes in to consideration on 10 of the 18 holes. Ladbrook Park is a superb course with undulating fairways and is certainly good enough to test the best, hosting both the Warwickshire Ladies Championships and the Midlands Open Senior Championship in 2006. But it is not too difficult to be enjoyed by all golfers, nor do the few inclines make it too much a test of stamina. Visitors are welcome midweek.
