Good Golf Complex

Parkland course with plenty of trees and water to get you in trouble. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Food in the afternoon after the round was very good although they wouldnt do us a full breakfast because we arrived after 10am (10.05 to be precise).
We had a 2 for 1 deal that worked out at 9 pound each so great value.
Would be happy to go back and it looked a good place for a weekend away with rooms for over 60 guests.

A Good Test of Your Golfing Prowess.

As a Member of Lakeside Lodge I am ever so slightly biased, but this review is an honest assessment of the Club.

Jan/Feb/Mar. The Lodge Course is in remarkably good order considering the amount of rain it has seen. No Surface Water visable, however some relief is expected. The Greens are in good condition and the recent rain means you can shoot for the pins.

In current weather conditions this is a demanding test for most golfers, however smart play can lead to a rewarding scorecard.

The course is at it's very best from May onwards when the ground becomes a little drier and firmer.

The Club offers a Driving Range, Putting Green and 12 and 6 hole courses and well as a par 3 course.

You will always receive a friendly and warm smile from the catering and bar staff. Food is excellent and the price of drinks are reasonable.

Lakeside Lodge - Manor Course

The Manor has matured into a nice little course and offers a variety of holes, most of which allow the high handicapper to enjoy their round. The lost ball problem is minimal due to the mature planting that lines the fairways; I rarely fail to find any errant drives!
Best thing is that even when it's busy, it is still posible to walk 9 holes in 2 hours or less.
