Description

Said to be the oldest 18 hole golf course in the County of Monmouthshire, The Monmouthshire Golf Club was founded in 1892 as a 9 hole course.  The course, laid out on reasonably flat ground beside the River Usk and with exceptionally beautiful mountain scenery on all sides, unusually has 6 par 3 holes, but albeit relatively short, the course is far from easy with the River calling wayward shots on several holes.   The Clubhouse, which recently benefited from complete refurbishment, offers excellent facilities.  Visitors are always assured a welcome.
