Monte Mayor.....monster course

what a course, take this on if you are up for a challenge! on average you will need 2 balls per hole played!! well when playing course for the first time anyway!!,the first time for me the course beat me up ..badly,,then i read the local rule that any 'lost
' ball off the course counts as lateral water hazard, and only one shot penalty, honestly this does make a difference as any ball off the fairway on many of the holes is lost down huge ravines.Beautiful spectacular course with some 'fantasy' type holes, plataeu greens with no bail out areas eg one par three 190 metres all carry to raised green with massive drop off all around it.
Intermediate golfers will struggle to break 100,but what an experience, every hole is spectacular, very secular, you feel you are the only people out their, dont worry if you are running short of balls as there is a nice man around the 10th to sell you a bag of 25 balls for around 20 euros.
Expensive during high season, i managed to get on for 50 euros in december!!
Nice clubhouse, good facilities, practice area miles away but putting green close by,first putt went straight off the green!! course in top condition, greens like Augusta! but very true.
Take this challenge on if you dare, you'll be glad of the experience if you do...good luck!
