More information about Murrayfield Golf Club

Clubhouse (overlokking 1st tee & 18th green) with full Bar & Catering facilities, Changing rooms, Pro Shop, Equipment hire, Golf practice facilities inc driving range
Murrayfield Golf Club was founded in 1896 as part of the late nineteenth century explosion of interest in golf in Edinburgh. The 18 hole course was completed by 1904 and the clubhouse added in 1912.

The parkland course, at 5,800 yards long from the back tees, is relatively short by modern standards but it is laid out around Corstorphine hill and although parts may be a little hilly, each hole has its own unique characteristics, it's always well maintained and has the rare ability to offer a challenge to all levels of golfer.

Visitors are welcome during the week. Contact club to make arrangements.

Great Course - A must when in Edinburgh

Murrayfield Golf Club offers parkland golf just outside of Edinburgh's city center, played on a course that is occasionally hilly, always challenging and more than rewarding for all levels of golfer.

Very nice course, well kept, with some fantastic views over the Forth and Edinburgh. Each hole features its own unique challenges, so boredom won't be an issue, and the soundtrack piped in from the neighboring Edinburgh zoo makes for its own kind of unique.

Some challenging holes but very good balance. A bit hilly until the 7/8th, after that you don't notice the hill. Clubhouse was very well presented, the staff were friendly and the costs reasonable. Good to see so many juniors and ladies playing
