The par 73 Murrayshall course, designed by Hamilton J. Stutt, the grandson of the great James Braid's chief foreman and measuring 6441 yards off the back tees, is the championship course. Laid out on 350 acres of rolling parkland around the hotel the tree lined fairways, numerous bunkers and several water hazards means that accuracy is the key to a good score. The course provides an excellent challenge to even the most accomplished of golfer. This is reflected in its status as the home to the PGA under 25 Championship and the Scottish Team Championship.
The 10 hole Lynedoch course, like the Murrayshall, was designed by Hamilton J. Stutt and although much shorter, the layout through Scots Pine woodland and wildflower meadows combined with the water hazards and plentiful bracken mean that the Lynedoch still provides an exciting round of golf.
Being part of the Murrayshall means the off course facilities are of a similarly high standard as the golf courses.
