The Omaha Beach Golf Club, founded in 1985, was designed by the famous golf architect, Yves Bureau.
There are three loops of 9 holes: The Sea, The Pond, The Hedgerow.
The Sea course is probably the most famous of teh courses, with each of the nine holes named after a major character in the WWII Normandy landings (General Eisenhower, Sir Winston Churchill, General Charles de Gaulle etc) and the much photographed 6th hole overlooking the English Channel at the fishing port of Port en Bessin.
The Hedgerow course winds its way inland with along hedges, past age-old trees and along wonderful green fairways.
The Pond course offers more variety still with water hazards on several holes
The Sea & Hedgerow (Mer & Bocage) are the two loops which combine to make the official course for competitions.
With the on-site Hotel Mercure visitors are always welcome
