Founded in 1920, Prestbury was designed by Course Architect Harry Shapland Colt who was also involved in the design of Wentworth and the Eden course at St. Andrews. From this excellent beginning the course has matured and developed to become one of the finest parkland courses in the Northwest of England. Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside and with panoramic views of the Derbyshire Hills from some of the higher holes Prestbury "truly deserves the accolade of hidden gem" (Golf Monthly). The traditional Clubhouse comprises a number of comfortably furnished rooms. The Mixed Lounge with oak beams, large rugs and an open fire houses the main bar (presentations and functions can be held there). Dress restrictions apply in the Mixed Lounge. Visitors and society groups are welcome. Contact club to make arrangements.
