Description

A John Day designed meadowland course which, although still relatively new, is maturing rapidly. Although relatively open the strategic use of water hazards (affecting 7 of the holes) introduces plenty of challenge and the first few holes are reputedly very tough. Visitors are always welcome.

Nice, easy walking course

Well maintained course. Very flat so an easy walk. Playing in Feb on a cold and damp morning, the tees and fairways were good. Bunkers were fine too. Greens had a bit of wear but the fine to putt on - better than they looked. Very good clubhouse. Happily play there again.

Outstanding

A parklands course quite tight at times straight drives essential , got to be the most welcoming golf club we have attended a bit wet in places but understandable due to the weather we have had of late ,the overall experience was enjoyed by the 4 of us , the staff and members were truly welcoming and helpful throughout a time on an off the course , the food was worth the money and the chef who I'm sure was finishing for the evening cooked us up some lovely food all in all a must visit .

The Friendliest Club in the world.

Pryors Hayes appears at first to be a fairly easy course to play but once you begin you quickly realise it is full of challenges not least the signature 16th, Par 3 which sees you having to hit your ball straight to the green avoiding a steam on your left and a pond which reaches out in front of you on your right. It is no wonder it is rated stroke index 4 from all tees.

The club is constantly making improvements and have recently employed a new chef who is offering an excellent menu which includes all fresh and where possible locally sourced produce.
