Pumperston Golf Club was originally laid out as a 9 hole course by workers of the Pumperston Oil Company in 1895.
Today the oil works are long gone to be replaced by the current 18 hole course.
The course, set on undulating land, was designed by Graeme Webster to take full advantage of the natural contours of the land.
With water features on five of the holes, numerous strategically placed bunkers and large greens constructed to USGA standards.
The very testing 2nd and 15th holes will challenge even the most accomplished of golfer and, if you're not playing at your best, the panoramic views of Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills will offer some consolation.
The course has won several environmental awards.
Visitors are always welcome. contact club to make arrangements.
