Facilities
Radlett Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire is located in North London. The course is easily found just a few miles of the M25 at Junction 21a or Junction 22. The Clubhouse is brand new and offers excellent views over the first tee and 10th greens. The Club offers all the usual cateri8ng facilities with a licensed bar, changing rooms and even a snooker room. There is also a fully stocked pro shop with equipment hire. In addition, there is also a designated practice area including a driving range.
Description
Radlett Park Golf Club was formerly known as Elstree Golf Club but changed its name in 2012. The layout of the course meanders through Parkland and whilst mostly flat, there are some great holes to keep even the lowest handicapper golfer on their toes. This Hertfordshire based course boats an 18 hole,  course measuring just over 6,400 Yard, making a Par 72 from the White tees. The ladies course measures approx  5,400 Yards to also give a par 72.

The golf course has matured since its opening in 1984 trees once planted as saplings are now mature and will influence your shot selection on many of the holes, and there is water on the course to navigate too. The front 9 is approximately 500 yards longer than the back 9 and will require long straight driving to give you opportunities to attack the pin. The back 9 has a combination of water and dog-leg holes for golfers to negotiate before any score can be secured.

Overall we believe Radlett Park Golf Club offers players a true golfing test and set in 300 acres of superb Hertfordshire countryside.

Visitors are always welcome, contact club to make arrangements.

Tree-lined parkland course

Entrance sneaks up on you as you approach. Plenty of parking available adjacent to a modenistic club house facility. Great practice facilities. Staff welcoming and friendly, no spikes in the bar though.

First tee within easy walking distance of clubhouse. Best to meet and greet then go and get clubs and shoess (in my opinion).

Course in good condition, good use of topography there are some ups and dowwns (some a bit extreme). A number of good holes (quite a lot of up and down tree-lined avenues though). This is a course that does need a re-visit, as a few holes do benefit from knowledge of how best to play them. Too easy to pick the wring club here and there. There are some good tight dogleg holes and a straing drive off the tee would be beneficiail...

Not overly long, greens were undulating and it did take a while to get to grips with speeds...

A course well worth a second trip... it is possible to score well here... with the benefit of hindsight.

All together - very average...

Radlett GC (formerly Elstree) is a reasonably pleasant course with a couple of good holes but overall I was left a little underwhelmed...

OK, so I played here in December on a cold damp day but saw enough to know there's not a great deal to shout about here. A bit 'Up and Down' in places, there nothing to really to complain about but equally nothing to rave about either. The greens were OK, the fairways adequate and the tee boxes average.

Couldn't comment on Pro shop as it was closed by 2pm(!) Clubhouse and Bar is modern and no doubts has good views of the 18th, 11th and 1st but this too was closed at 2pm(!).

We made do, by finding a local pub for a post-round drink but would have preferred to spend my money at the club.

A little pricey at £25 (Sunday at 12noon in Dec!!) so can't say I'll be rushing back!

Worth the visit

Played this course several times, this is the dampest it has been, but where isn't at present? Costs a little more than the normal some, but it is worth it for Monday morning millionaires golf.

Tee boxes are in reasonable condition, fairways are a bit muddy, but there has been a drop or two of rain lately and the greens though a touch fluffy are pretty true. The bunkers are ok (have sand!), but need the rabbit scrapings filled in, it's not really acceptable to leave them. Alright for us as we all played pick and place everywhere due to ground conditions

New clubhouse is a treat and the latte's are very nice. A visit in warmer (and drier) weather should be on the cards for later in the year.

Yes I would come back almost anytime.

Course evaluation

The venue was enjoyable, good reception by staff, the course was challenging; in good condition considering the recent poor weather; greens were subject to maintenance and were unexpectedly firm. My below expected scoring on the front 9 was primarily due to my poor ball striking rather the course. The one inexcusable deficiency for me was the absence of a course planner. This led to many 'blind' drives and shots which one shouldn't have to experience. VFM was reasonable; I would happily play this course again.

Name change

The club name has changed to Radlett Park Golf Club> The new club house will open on 12th December. New drainage system installed and the course is playing really well. No more mud on fairways.
