The golf courses, The Meadows, The Highlands and The Groves whilst all being 18 hole layouts offer substantially different golfing experiences.
The Meadows Course, at 6,700 yards, is the signature course. Originally opened in the early 1980's the course was redesigned by Ron Garl in 2004 and is now recognised as one of the best Championship length courses in Sarasota. The tree lined fairways and integration of water on several holes mean the course is always a challenge and the greens may be large but they are well protected and the TifEagle grass means that they are very fast. So playing to par is always a challenge. However, although a tough course the use of five different tee positions means the course can be enjoyed as much by the less skilled player as by the highly skilled player.
TheHighlands Course, also 6,700 yards off the back tees, is a different track althogether. It features narrow fairways lined with ancient oak and pine trees, multiple elevation changes and small, well protected greens. However, again, the use of five different tee positions means the course can be enjoyed as much by the less skilled player as by the highly skilled player.
The Groves Course, the shortest by far at 4,200 yards off the back tees, is a course which rewards shot placement over long hitting. Designed by Arthur Hills it has nine Par 4s, eight Par 3s and only one Par 5. However, don't underestimate it, if your game is not on form The Gorves will test you.
