The current River Highlands course, home of the Travelers Championship, was the result of a complete redesign undertaken by Pete Dye in 1982 with further revisions by Bobby Weed supported by PGA Tour players Howard Twitty and Roger Maltbie in 1989.
Named by Golf Digest as 'One of teh Top 10 Golf Courses in the State' and the 'Best Private Course in the State' six times by Connecticut Golfer Online the course meanders over 148 acres of rolling wooded countryside. The rolling fairways are framed by mature maple, oak, sycamore and eastern white pine whilst numerous lakes and ponds add to the natural beauty of the course.
The course feature bentgrass from tee to green with bluegrass fescue rough.
While capable of providing challenge to the best players in the world the use of multiple tees enable golfers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the beauty of this fantastic course.
The course is golf buggy only (no walking).
