Description
Weston Turville Golf Course was established in 1973. The 18-hole golf course is 6008 yards and is par 69. Situated at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, the course presents a demanding test for the lower handicap but is not so

daunting that the higher handicap cannot score well and enjoy the gamewith prudent use of the shots they receive. Water hazards are a distinctivefeature of the course and there is plenty of variety in the character of the holes.

One of the great attributes of the course is that is that while it provides an enjoyable golfing challenge, it is beautifully positioned at the foot of the Chiltern Hills providing absolutely delightful scenery but not difficult walking terrain.

Consequently a day's golf does not have to be impaired by exhaustion. The Clubhouse has all of the amenities to fully enhance the day’s enjoyment with its bar and dining facilities. The shop is spacious, very well stocked and very competitively priced. The changing facilities have just been refurbished to a luxurious standard.

On top of this what really makes Weston Turville Golf Club a "Special Venue" is the welcome you will receive. The Staff are dedicated and put themselves out to ensure that their customers are looked after… A real delight.

Very good condition, very nice course!

I had read mixed reviews of Weston Turville, although most recent ones I'd seen were fairly positive. It certanly worked out that way, as the course was in a pretty impressive condition. The fairways, which at a lot of courses are still struggling due to last year's summer heatwave, were a match for the high quality of the tees and greens.

This isn't a long course, but most holes are tree lined and a number of fairways aren't especially wide, so you'll still have to work to get a decent score.

I found the course to be quite delightful, and one that I certainly would visit regularly if I only lived a lot closer. Of my 'on course' tips, one would be to be aware of the pond that guards the front of the 14th green. I was quite happy with my approach until it suddenly disappeared from view. My second is to get a course guide, or take a photo of the course layout on the wall outside the pro shop. There are a few tees that aren't especially well signposted.

One other plus from my visit today was the welcome in the pro shop, which was everything you could hope for.

WTG

overall a relatively friendly course where it pays to keep to the fairway and avoid the rough.
