Whittington Heath Golf Club, one of the oldest in England, has been described by Martin Hawtree as “Classic golfing country”. Designed by Harry Colt and opened in 1886, Whittington Heath uses heather, gorse, birch, oak and imaginatively positioned bunkers to present a real challenge to every level of golfer. The Club has played host to a number of top amateur events. In most recent years the Carris Trophy, Women's County week and the Women's Home Internationals. Visitors and golf societies are welcome.
