The course, designed by Dan Maples, is laid out on low lying land previously used as rice plantations and offers a fantastic challenge in a beautiful setting..
With multiple tee positions the course can be played from 7,155 yards down to 4,956 yards.
The course has been ranked 25th in Golf for Women magazine's list of top 50 courses for women and it's not hard to see why. However, don't begin to think it's an easy course, water is in play on many of the holes and, although the fairways are generous, they are all tree lined plus there is the numerous integration of water hazard and the strategically placed bunkers to contend with.
In all, Willbrook Plantation is a fantastic golf course in the Myrtle Beach area and one which, because of the multiple tee positions, can be enjoyed by golfers of all ability (women and men!).
The course has fairways and greens of Bermuda grass, water hazards and lots of bunkers.
The course is golf buggy only (no walking).
