You may have already read in recent Golf Magazines that Gatton Manor is closing at the end of October, for approximately 2 years for a total transformation.
it will become a state of the art Medical Spa & Wellness Resort with an upmarket Pay & Play golf course
(a round will cost in the region of £200 !!!!!!!!).
NO Membership will be offered.
All the greens will be replaced with free draining USGA specification putting surfaces, there will be new fairway irrigation.
There are plenty of excellent offers for this gem of a course before it closes.
The condition of the course is at its best apparently.
So if you liked the course and if you want to discover it before October, go and book a Tee time or make it a cheap golf weekend away. Price starting at £89 p/p in a twin room and 2 rounds of golf.

Hi Mark, I have organised a sort of a "Girls 2 days away" with some spare places but now taken for the Sunday/Monday August bank holiday and an extra game on Saturday before, all full now.
I don't see why another weekend can't be organised ? Very good deals till end of October. A gem of a course. Would you want to play ? And do you know of anyone else who might be interested?

No one has shown any interest yet on this Forum....... I don't know why. Deals are very good, and course in exceptional condition. We shall see, may be when the better weather arrives people will react Brigitte

If there are ladies involved I'd be up for it. Might even book a room o:)
Seriously, if it's an overnight I could be convinced.

I've played there a few times and enjoyed it very much. If someone else does the organizing :-) , I'd put my name down for a weekend.

Hi Everyone
I guess after paying 200 English pounds for your round of golf, you would need a bit of well being and a relaxing spa, just maybe they could included that in the price
Have a great day
