For those of you who remember Paul McCartneys Wings

Far have I travelled and much have I seen ... as he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre. Before I played golf I visited this part of the world and it is truly beautiful. When I later added golf it is heaven.

I am organisng a trip to Machrihanish from Thu 20 May 2021 to Mon 24 May 2021. Machrihanish was "laid out" by Old Tom Morris is 1879 and most of the layout remains to this day. The first tee requires a shot over the Atlantic ( a small part ) and the beach to the fairway. Machrihanish Dunes is the only course ever created on a Site of Special Scientific Interest and was "laid out like Old Tom Morris did without diggers etc" by David McLay Kidd. who designed Bandon Dunes, Oregon and St Andrews Castle Course. Mach Dunes opened in 2009.

Four nights Bed and Breakfast

We will be playing four rounds including Machrihanish and Machrihanish Dunes.

Costs to be confirmed but

Single accomodation £600

Twin accomodation £450
