Due to popular demand, this year’s event will again take place on a Saturday but we have also secured an earlier tee time of 12 noon. No more need to take a day off work, no more fighting with weekday traffic on the M25, or missing an evening appointment, so now ALL TSGers and their guests should be free to join us.
For those that have attended before, you’ll know that this event is THE opportunity for us all to meet up as a group and put names to faces....now in our 5th year, this year is all the more special!
Details of the day are outlined below but as always, we hope to add some further twists to the event between now and July...
- Individual 18 hole Stableford Competition (Men & Ladies)
- A 'Yellow Ball' team event
- Straightest Drive
- Nearest Pin
- Nearest Pin (On second shot)
- Beat the Pro (Nearest Pin)
- A 12 hole Putting Competition
- Mystery Comp.
There will be plenty prizes on offer for all of the above winners and runners up + £5 of every entry fee will be donated to the winners' charities (see below). See Photos of 2014
The day is no more than a good "social" opportunity to meet many of your fellow TSG members and includes coffee & bacon rolls on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a two course post match meal (served at approx. 5.30pm) with tea & cakes to finish + the all important raffle/auction, prize giving and the presentation of the now much coveted Halliwell Cup!
We have arranged for a special TSG discount on buggies (costs on request, but there are limited numbers, so please let us know in advance), marshalls will be on the course and a photographer/cameraman will record the events!
Registration will start at 11am for a 12noon three tee start with an end time planned of around 6.30pm.
Entry Fee = £50 - PAY HERE
More information will be issued nearer the time but all we ask is that you have a full TSG Handicap Certificate or a full CONGU/USGA recognised handicap. TSG Handicaps can be obtained by entering 3 or more scorecards into the TSG system - Click on the following link for more details: www.thesocialgolfer.com/myscores
Guests are always welcome but TSG PRO members will take precedent should numbers be tight. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements in advance.
N.B. Golf Day Fees will be required to be paid by MONDAY 6th July 2015, in order that we can advise the club of final numbers. For more details on Bletchingley, visit the TSG Course page:
www.thesocialgolfer.com/bletchingley or visit: www.bletchingleygolf.co.uk
Finally, to celebrate the appointment of being this year’s TSG host venue, Bletchingley are extending their offer to all TSG members of a unique 2for1 offer for the whole of 2015 - See members pages for details:www.thesocialgolfer.com/viewoffer/bletchingley
So, whether you new to TSG or one of the original joiners come and meet your fellow TSGers and enjoy a great day with us raising some money for a great cause!

Hi Team,Could all these comments be copied across the Forum page as well?.... so everyone who was not present could share our great day and hopefully be tempted to join next year 's Open.RegardsBrigitte
WHAT A GREAT DAY !! Well done to Ian and the team for putting on such a good golf event and raising such a good amount of money for two charities. Congratulations to Judy for winning today and carrying on your fine form from April's TSG Masters and to Steve for taking the Men's Title, 28 points, a worthy score. Also, many congrats to all the other winners today on the toughest greens I've played for many a year. Lastly, thank you to my three playing partners today, Brigitte, Anna & Matt for making our day so enjoyable and for sharing your sausages and chocolate cake, beauty, brains and food, a perfect combination. Here's to next year, long live TSG !!
Well done Judy! Was very nice to meet you and looking forward to our games together in future. Thanks to my playing partners, David, Lee and Ruth who played best golf today out of us all. Thank you Ian for your hard work. Was very nice to meet new people and the usual suspects. Till next year - we will do it all again!

Thanks to Ian for a wonderful day and all the organisation and time put into making it such a success. Despite being down on attendance, this did not distract from the days' enjoyment and although the greens were a challenge to put it mildly, we were all in the same boat and sometimes that is not a bad thing. Many thanks to Bletchingley for their hospitality and to Beat The Pro Ben for a cheery welcome and showing most of us how it should be done. Thanks to my playing partners Steve Duffy and Martyn Speedy Miller for lots of good banter and great teamwork. Nice to meet Ginny and Ruth at the dinner table and hope to have a game with you in the future. Congratulations Ruth for runner up. It was a close one. Finally I would like to nominate Bromley Sparks as my chosen charity. They are small and every little helps I know they will be so grateful for the donation. I will share details with Ian for the blog. I hope you all had a safe journey home and look forward to seeing some of you at Pedham.-- 11/07/2015 21:56:39: comment edited by Judy Lilley.

Dear TSGers,With the day nearly upon us and we are making some last minute changes to this competition...Previously, we have supported the disabled golfer charity BALASA. However, after four years of promoting this organisation we have decided to change tack and we are now putting the power back in the hands of YOU the players...OH YES, this year, the winners' on the day will get to choose the charity that will receive our donations! So, if you've been affected in any way with illness in the family or have a favourite charity you've always wanted to support, you now have an added incentive to win! There are still places available on the day and you are welcome to bring guests (who will play for their own trophy). Finally, please note, we have now added the Payment Button above, please ensure your fees are paid by Monday 6th July at Midnight.Happy Golfing!Ian & The TSG Event Team-------------------------
