Launched in 2007 TheSocialGolfer.com is the fast growing web based golf community conceived and managed and run by people who are genuinely passionate about golf!

We believe that golfers should be able to play anywhere in the world, at anytime, regardless of whether they belong to a golf club or not! By joining TheSocialGolfer.com community, members can arrange games with golfers close to home, on holiday, on business and with over 8000 golfers worldwide...

Not simply another 'Social Networking' site where you spend endless time chatting...we are a "Real" Social Network, i.e. you actually get out and meet like-minded people!

How it works:

Build your TSG Golfer Profile
Source your preferred club from the 25,000+ courses
Book a tee time at a club of your choice
Post the game on TSG games pages
TSG then emails all the members in the catchment of the chosen club
Fellow TSG members sign up to your game
You receive confirmation of attendees
Meet at the club, Pay your green fees
Enjoy your game!

When you get home:

Clean your clubs (OK, maybe not the first thing you do!)
Enter your scores
Study your progress on our game graphs (incl. Driving, Putting, GIR etc)
Use the TSG analysis tools to track your handicap
Compare your stats with your friends
Find your place on the site leaderboard
Tell all your friends about your round
Download your revised handicap and certificate

Of course, while you're still finding your way around the site, you may chose to join someone else's game first, but remember the more games you post, the more games there are for everyone to join...

Then, once you have settled in to the community (we can all be a little shy at first but we're a friendly bunch!) you can then join in the forum discussions and banter or email your new friends directly. You may decide to run you own society from the site, and TSG is perfectly geared up for you to do this, simply, quickly and with very little effort.

Lastly, we also encourage our members to get involved as much or as little as they wish but we also welcome suggestions from members on how we can improve the site - after all it is your site, as much as ours!

Adding a 'No Show' to your game:

As an organiser, there is nothing worse than having people let you down at the last minute. As such, we have added a function to member's accounts that allow you to record the offending members lack of attendance (with a good or adequate excuse).

Just go to the MY TSG menu tab, click on MY GAMES tab, and click on RECORD NO SHOWS tab or click on the link provided here

Costs:

For a relatively small annual fee of £29.98* (that's less than a round of golf!) we can keep the site as commercially free as possible and for this you receive access to all the site functionality!

However, we do not want to alienate those golfers who may be occasional site users and as such there is also a free membership option available - allowing you to read course reviews, join in forum discussions, post photos, watch and upload videos - but with reduced access to joining & posting games, running societies, tracking your handicap, graphing your scores and the TSG email system.
