More information about Delamere Forest Golf Club

Excellent Clubhouse with Bar, Catering, Locker Rooms and Pro Shop. Golf Practice Area.

Delamere golf course is considered an inspiring Herbert Fowler layout with many excellent par 4s, especially on the front nine. The back nine, although shorter, is no less interesting with its own complement of interesting holes. The Clubhouse was built in the early 1900's and reflects the traditional black and white architecture widely found throughout Cheshire. Visitors are always welcome.

Great winter golf

Its still my favourite course in Cheshire, no higher compliment than that. Its not cheap though and is somewhat exclusive. I was at the invite of a member and even then it would have cost me £40 if he hadn't paid for me. Its had a few minor alterations since my last visit many moons ago, mainly extra bunkers strategically placed. For November you couldn't fault the greens, very true and quick. Must be lightening in summer. Drains well due to sandstone too, very few wet patches. Clubhouse is a wonderful setting too, especially if you want to watch golfers coming in.
