Well worth a play

South Manchester has some great courses in my opinion, many only a stones throw from one another - Didsbury is among them.

It's a varied course with a good mix of holes, each with it's own challenges. We play as visitors so a bit pricey but they take 2Fore1 and you can get a round most weekend afternoons which is a bonus.

Overall it is certainly a course to play, greens were really fast the other day even when drenched with rain. Can get waterlogged as low lying and a river runs through/around it so if heavy rain has been falling (or snow for that matter) call the clubhouse first to see how it is playing. Rain is common round these parts!

Good Course in good condition, would play again

The course is well maintained, we played regular tees and good greens deep into November. It was a little soft in places, but to be expected for a course so close to the River Mersey at that time of year. The course is quite tight with lines of trees bordering each fairway so errant drives can be harshly punished. It is quite a noisy course being so close to the M60. Paid £19 which was a good discount over regular pricing. Look out for extra special discounts on Sunday mornings (~£10 a round)
