Sandy Gallop is an undulating natural bushland course laid out alongside the Ipswich Showground and crossed by Deebing Creek.
It's main claim to fame is that records show Sandy Gallop as the scene of Greg Norman’s first professional victory – 1976 Coal City Pro-Am.
The 5399 meter par 70 course has, and continues to, benefit from a programme of improvements (ongoing during 2008). The course is generally well maintained and offers a good test to golfers of all ability.
Sandy Gallop is recognised as a very freindly course and visitors are always welcome.
