DESCRIPTION:

Designed along parkland lines, the exclusive 18 hole Par 72 course spans across two gently sloping valleys and runs to 6125 meters from the back tees. The opening nine holes offer fine views over the bay of Lagos.

The back nine, set on rolling slopes, include the remarkable Henry Cotton Challenge, the longest Par 5 in Europe. At 604 meters, it requires three long and accurate shots to avoid the lake, hold the angled fairway and find the small, well protected green.

Parkland course

Of the four courses played on this holiday, my first impression was that the course was dull and uninteresting, but on reflection I am glad I paid a second visit.

There are only a couple of outstanding holes, but all have their quirks. Most have a raised green, and all of the greens are in quite good condition. Doglegs are not all one way so all players are equally catered for. There are 5 par 3's and 5 par 5's. The last par 3 looks relatively easy - until you actually get to the green and the 16th - a 5 - is called Gigantica OB to the left, pond to the right and just 570 METRES! Good luck.

This is another course in the Pestana group - of the three played, it would be my number 2.

Good course and fun.

Not as long as other courses in the area but fun to play and quite good condition for December. Some good holes and some not so good. Bar and clubhouse facilities good, and great value.

Good course

Gave the clubhouse and practice a three mark but didn't go to either! A nice, tightish parkland course. Quite hilly, but not as bad as some of the other courses in the area. Everything was in a good condition when I played there is February. Well worth a visit.
