Añoreta Golf, designed by the famed Ryder Cup Champion José María Cañizaresis, wasthe first 18-hole golf course to be built to the east of Malaga.
Opened in 1990,the 6016 meter course (off the back tees)offers an excellent test for golfers of all ability.
Although the fairwaysare generally fairly wide and the greens large, accuracy remains important as the fairways are lined with trees and mature shrubs and there are 11 holes where water comes into play.
Many of the holes are trully spectacular, in particular hole 7 with its breathtaking seaviews and the Par 3 17th with the green wrapped byan immense lake enhancing the emerald turf.
The course is well laid out andvery pretty withsome areas offering splendid views of the Mediterranean.
Anoreta Golf has a driving range as well as practice facilities and a golf school that offers both individual and group lessons.
