The 18-hole, par 70 parkland course was redesigned by James Braid, the legendary golf course architect, who integrated the region’s natural contours into his layout. Situated near the A1, the course provides golfers with challenging undulating fairways, natural hazards, and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Alnwick’s course plays over 6,200 yards, with each hole offering unique challenges, particularly the signature 12th hole, which features a steep drop-off. In recent years, the course has hosted Northumberland county events, earning a reputation for being a fair test of skill without sacrificing enjoyment.
