Established in 1924, Teignmouth Golf Club is located in Devon and offers a stunning 18-hole, par-69 links-style course that stretches over 6,267 yards. Designed by the legendary Dr. Alister MacKenzie, the course is known for its dramatic coastal views, rolling fairways, and challenging greens. The signature par-3 8th hole provides a breathtaking tee shot over a ravine, with views of the English Channel in the distance. Stunning course

It's just a stunningly beautiful setting to play golf. It's not an overly tricky course, but stray too far from the fairways, and the punishment can be severe. Placement and course management is the trick here. The 1st, 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th all run alongside a beautiful seascape panoramic view and when the sun is shining like it was today.....well, it's a gem. Go play it, you won't be disappointed.

A New Favourite

Visited Devon for a couple of days to watch Ladies County Finals at EDGC (Budleigh Salterton) and whilst there took the opportunity to play the nearby Teignmouth GC. A real beauty - wonderful views in different directions on the two nines and yet the course itself is relatively flat moorland. Designed and laid my Alister Mackenzie (Augusta National) in 1924 the course is apparently little changed since then. Not as easy as it might appear due to, what I would imagine is, an almost permanent stiff breeze - heather and bunkers await errant shots and the greens are fast carrying subtle borrows. £20 after 3.00 - an absolute steal.
