Half decent and value for money

Parkland course which is not the longest with small greens so need to be accurate. Long hitters would not find this challenging but for my game gave me good pitching practice (not that I did well and only emphasised that I need to get onto the range a bit more). Bunkers were well kept except for lazy golfers not raking once they’d finished.

DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT!

It's a bit unkind of the SG website to describe this course as being in Slough - it's actually set in quiet countryside not far from Maidenhead! Whilst not long, there are some good driving holes and it is also tight in places, offering a fair challenge for players of all abilities. Set amidst broadleaf woodland and gently undulating, with an attractive clubhouse and a reasonable practice area, the whole place has a sheltered and cosy feel about it. Members and bar staff alike were all very friendly and welcoming and Jeannie in the Pro Shop couldn't have been more helpful.
Given the opportunity I would happily play there several times a year.
Highly recommended.

average

Got a deal from tee off times so paid 8 quid. Greens ok for this time of year I guess. Tee boxes were all grass and no mats but never had so many bad lies on a tee box! More undulating than any of the greens. Course is short....real short. Bar the 9th I reckon a 5 iron as your biggest club would be ample for par....sadly didn't take that advice!!!!
It's ok for a quick knock around.....get a map though as stevie wonder numbered the holes I think as the next hole.is often not the one near the last green.....not even close at times!!!!

Good value golf

Not a long course at 5200 yds from the yellows, but it is enjoyable. The front 9 seemed a little tight, with a few holes running up and down next to each other, but it picks up on the back 9 where there are some very good looking holes. The 11th, 17th and 18th are the highlights, and it's a nice way to finish a round.

As for the condition, the greens were really good, while there were few complaints about the tees and fairways.

Huntswood

Nice clean course - fairly easy. Back nine more interesting than the first nine.
