The 18 hole links course has been built on well draining sand stretching along the north coast of the Wirral peninsula. Tight fairways with intimidating out of bounds are a feature of the course; this coupled with the greens rated among the best in the area, makes Leasowe a good test of golf for players of all abilities. With superb panoramic views extending from the mountains of North Wales and across Liverpool Bay towards the Lake District the modern Clubhouse provides a fine venue in which to enjoy an excellent range of food and refreshments. Visitors are always welcome.

Worth playing

Mature low-lying links style course looking over the Irish Sea with an easy walk. Drive straight and you will score well. But if the winds up from the Irish Sea that's another problem, could be a card braker. Few short holes you need to take advantage of. Pop hole bunkers around the greens. Couple of open ditches, ponds in front of the tees, with dog legs.
Overall the course was in good nick and enjoyable on a clam sunny day Practise putting green,2 driving nets. Chipping area a little away from the club house. Friendly staff, pro shop.

Great golf on the cheap

Got a 4 ball for £60 offer which we were able to use on a Sunday. In early March with zero degree temp we had no temporary greens but some helpful winter tees. What wasn't helpful was the cold and gale like winds!! The greens were very true and quick for this time of year. If you want good links style golf on the cheap then Leasowe is a must. Fairways can be narrow, more forgiving to the slicers than the hookers (or more kindly.. faders and drawers). Its a regular jaunt, only wish they could guarantee good weather.
