Lothianburn Golf Club, founded in 1893, was an 18-hole course located at the foot of the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. Though the club closed in 2013, it was widely regarded as a challenging, par-71 course that spanned over 6,160 yards. The course was known for its hilly terrain, offering stunning panoramic views of Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside. The area remains popular for outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling in the nearby Pentland Hills Regional Park.
The club’s closure marked the end of an era, but its legacy lives on in the memories of those who enjoyed its unique layout and picturesque location.
