looks better on the website

Played both courses over 2 days. The flyover on the website made it look fantastic.
In reality its very poor. Fairways are poor no definition, greens were slow and bumpy, bunkers were poor with weeds growing in them. The hotel is ok but very dated.
Would I go back NO.
Would I stay for a golf weekend NO.
It has plenty of promise but needs some attention.

A Good Place for a Wedding...

...or so it would seem. I've been here twice and on both occasions weddings were in swing. That aside the course is enjoyable. Forgiving sloping (up, down, and sideway) fairways but challenging sloping or undulating greens (The Valley Course). However the heavens opened mid-way, and again on the dog-leg 17th making it one of the wettest games this year. The 19th is massive and serves excellent bar food. Whilst I believe that there is a driving range of sorts, I've not seen it, but there is a good putting green outside the pro-shop. £20 for 18-holes with a member.
