Stunning heathland course, a bucket list course

Saint Georges Hill golf course is a must play if you can afford the high green fees. It is on a private estate, and you drive through fantastic properties before arriving at a stunning club house. Note, there is a nice driving range but it is on the other side of the course and you are better off driving there before going to the clubhouse. The course itself is very pretty, you just need to remember to look at the views. Fairways are generous but miss them and you will have to take your punishment as the heather is lush! There are also a large number of well positioned bunkers to be avoided as well. Greens are a joy, undulating, fast and very true. There are some great holes and the risk reward 4th gives you something to think about. Everything about the course was spot on, the attention to detail is very impressive. When you finish, the club house is magnificent and the 3 course carvery lunch is a must have. Visit if you can and if you don’t enjoy it I’d take up another sport!

a real must play

from the moment you enter the estate through the gate house it's like being transported to another world, mansion after mansion lines the private roads then you reach the club and are immediately struck by it's beauty. A warm and friendly reception awaits you in the proshop and clubhouse where nothing is too much trouble, the starter was polite and helpful then you tee off where you are faced with hole after hole of picturesque golf, not a weak hole to be had and everyone was a challenge in itself with the layout placing hazards just where you didn't want them although the fairways were quite wide and forgiving, the greens were quick and true but rewarded the good putts. Prices in the bar afterwards were surprisingly reasonable. Overall a fantastic experience and one i would say that if ever you get a opportunity to play take it with both hands. My new favourite course.

Fantastic course and worth a visit

Golf is very well maintained and is worth an experience. The people are friendly and the environment is great.

Green fees is expensive for this course. Even on a subsidised society event day, I paid £90 for it. But with breakfast, lunch, tea and 2 rounds each, it was well worth it.

Would go again if I have the chance.
