DESCRIPTION:

Opened in 1996, The Vale Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort features a magnificent par-72 course that measures 7,056 yards, situated in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan. The course offers a unique combination of parkland and links-style holes, providing a challenging yet enjoyable golfing experience. The 7th hole, a long par-5, presents an opportunity for birdies but requires careful shot placement to navigate bunkers and water hazards. The signature 16th hole, a par-3, features a stunning view and demands precision to reach the well-guarded green. The Vale Resort is renowned for its exceptional facilities and commitment to course care, ensuring a memorable experience for all players.

Conveniently located near the M4, the resort is easily accessible and close to attractions such as the historic town of Cowbridge and the beautiful Glamorgan coastline, making it an ideal destination for both golf and relaxation.

The Vale

Superb facility its has every thing you could want of a resort course. Hotel and Food fantastic. the course gets a bit wet but after the weather we have had in the past few years what do you expect.its very easy to find as well just 5 minutes off the M4 with lots of signs.
The Valley is the easier course but still has a few long and tricky holes.
The National is tough with a lots of long carries over water but very playable, i can recommend it 100%

Great Venue

We played four rounds at the Vale, 2 on each of the courses, both are long and tough (from my scores to tough for me) the Lakes is the slightly shorter but tighter of the two, enjoy the 4th with OB on both sides of a 50 yrd fairway, 3 of us were out of the hole off the tee, leaving Dave K to walk up and play the rest of hole on his own. Plenty of water as the name suggests and with 50p per lost ball my charity fund done very well from the wkend.
The National is 6600 yrds and it was still wet the first time we played which made it play long, very punishing of a dodgy shot which is why I didnt score much. Both courses had some stunning holes and are well worth the trip.
The complex itself is easy to get to about 5 mins from M4, Food was excellent at the hotel grill, bar prices were ok, not as bad as some big venues (Belfry!) Staff were friendly and helpful, a few guys were disappointed in the food at the golf bar, but I had no complaints.
Recommended for any golf weekend package.
