Best course in the area - play it

Last weekend a friend suggested Stand Golf Club as they were doing Sunday tee times for £18. We'd played Worsley the day before which is a great course. We honestly all felt that Stand was just as enjoyable and for the money probably the better choice.

Very undulating, almost every hole is either elevated or in a valley - a good leg stretch and challenging.

Fairway grass was pretty long in places due to recent rainfall so a couple of holes were let down but we are going back this weekend we were that impressed.

They have 5 signature holes which seems a little over the top / self important, until you turn up and realise that they deserve to be - very picturesque.

Didn't use practice areas or club house so can't comment. The car park is a bit tight so get there early.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
