If you get the chance, grab it....

The staff were very helpful on arrival and the Pro put back our tee time by an hour due to the horrors of the M1. Everything is spotlessly clean and tidy. The food we had after the round was probably the only average part of the day. Mediocre and expensive. There is an open air practise range a short walk from the clubhouse and a few different putting greens.

We played the Duchess which, according to the Pros, is the tightest of the three courses. Tee boxes were sublime, fairways like most greens we play on and greens like billiard tables. In our four ball there was not one putt the whole round that bobbled. Incredible. Breaks came into play for once rather than ignoring them on most courses. Bunkers were also very good.

We played as a guest so did not have to pay a green fee, which I believe is in excess of £150. And let me tell you, if I had the money, I would play there again for that price...

Fantastic!

Played the Marquess Course. The best course I have played in the UK and the complex at Woburn is just great.
The course is in fantastic condition despite recent weather, but it should be based upon the membership costs.
Played terribly but really enjoyed it and very much left me wanting more.

Marquess - a challenging enjoyable experience..

Tree lined, but not as tight as you would imagine (other two courses are narrower).
A very well kept course from tee to green, bunkers have sand unlike a lot of other courses.
Best advice is to think about your shots.
Facilities are beyond reproach and the staff are all very helpful.
Cannot comment on price, and I had also changed this to a four ball from my original Polly Parrot Charity prize.

If you get the chance go there and enjoy the experience...

Marquess

Played "The Marquess" in the Mens Open. £65 was excellent value for the opportunity to play a super course, whilst also included in the price were refreshments beforehand, lunch after and a course planner. Everything about the Woburn set up is top notch and the new clubhouse is fabulous (altho the old locker rooms are looking a bit tired now). "The Marquess" was in great nick and some of the holes are majestic but I did feel that in places it lacked the class of "The Dukes". It played long off the whites but the tricky greens were my own downfall as 43 putts indicates! Woburn is a great venue and it's pricing (particularly the offers) does make it accessible to the likes of you and me. Looking to play "The Duchess" next....
