TPC of Scottsdale, set in the Sonoran Desert andsurrounded by the majestic McDowell Mountains, opened as a PGA Tour facility in 1986.
The resort has won numerous awards including the Golf Digest 'Top 10 Public Courses in Arizona', Golfweek Magazine 'One ofAmericas Best Courses', Conde Nest Traveler 'Top 50 Golf Destinations in the World'.
The famous Stadium Coursewas designed byTom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish to offer a blend of challenge and playability enabling itto be enjoyed by all level of golfer whilst still challenging the best in the world. Home ofthe FBR Open, an event which draws a crowd of 500,000 every year, the Stadium Course is a magnificent 7,216 yard par 71, butthe rest of the year the course is open to all and with the use of multiple tee positions the very same course, maintained to the same high standardscan be enjoyed by less accomplished golfers.
The Champions Course, the second course at TPC Scottsdale, rivals its famous siste for beauty and playability. The course was superbly designed by Randy Heckenkemper to offer a great desert course experience, with pristine fairways meandering over natural ravines and the picturesque foothills and the huge greens well protected by strategically placed bunkers. At 7,115 yards off the back tees the Champions Course can be made to challenge the very best, but the variety of tee positions mean the course can also be enjoyed by the less accomplished golfer. The four finishing holes make this course a 'must play'. The fairways and greens are ofbermuda grass.
