Fort Myers Country Club, designedby Donald J. Ross and opened in 1917 is one of the oldest golf facilities on the west coast of Florida.
Home to the Coors Open (a Pro-Am event started in 1963) the course is a flat, openparkland affair with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards providingchallenge to even the most accomplished of golfer.

The history of 'the Fort' is such that Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were reputed to have been regular visitors in the 1920's.
