East Lake was built in 1904. It has fairways of zoysia grass and greens of bent grass, water hazards and lots of bunkers. Visitors restricted, contact club for details.East Lake Golf Club will close March 1, 2008 and will remain closed until the TOUR Championship beginning September 22, 2008. During this time the Club plans to renovate all putting surfaces and greenside bunkers and complete other competitive enhancements to the golf course. All of the greens will be converted from Crenshaw bentgrass to MiniVerde, an ultradwarf bermudagrass.The Club will also be adding a 20,000 square foot addition onto the east end of the clubhouse to better serve the growing needs of our membership. The addition will include a ballroom which will accommodate up to 200 people, a kitchen and grill with a covered terrace overlooking East Lake, as well as additional rest room facilities.
