Several Scottish business men who had moved to Hawaii in the early 1900's needed to play golf, so they set up a three hole course in a cow pasture using tomato cans for the holes, with barbed wire fences around the greens to keep the cows out.Eventually stretched to 18 holes and the cows were removed. Set at 4,000 feet elevation, the course features small hard greens, tight kikuyu grass fairways (which ensure a great lie), a cool climate, and beautiful lush surroundings. Astute course management will produce a good score, but the tradewinds will humble you at times.
