Laid out on 380 rolling acres of a former horse farmalong the Rock River (thecourse itself occupies 170 acres) this Weibring designed course was given a well deserved accolade by Peter Jacobsen when he commented-'I rate the course a 9 out of 10 and thats worth telling people about'.
Weibring's design is a masterful piece, making the most of the natural undulations and terrain he disturbed only 60 acres of the 170 acres occupied by the course and combined the natural landscape with some man-made obstructions and 70 strategically placed bunkers to create a monster of a course. At 7,213 yards off the back tees this course will challenge even the most accomplished of golfer but the option of five sets of tees mean even less able golfer will enjoy the experience of playing TPC Deer Run.
The Rock River is visible on nine of the holes and the views across rolling Illinois farmland are fantastic.
