On its debut in 2002 TPC Boston was named amongst the 'Top 10 Best New Private Clubs in the US' byGolf Direct.
Home to the Deutsche Bank Championship (one of the four PGA Tour Playoff events for the FedExCup) the TPC Boston operates as an exclusive private members club.
The course was originally designed by no less a player than Arnold Parmer but was then redesigned in 2007 by the celebrated golf course architect Gil Hanse with PGA Tour player Brad Faxon acting as a consultant. The project delivered the current 7,241 yard monster of a coursewhich seems to fit seamlessly into the gently rolling New England landscape. The lush fairways and greens of Bentgrass meander through stands of mature trees, numerous wetlands areas and natural mounds. The addition of 92 deep bunkers round off what is a superb test for even the most accomplished golfer. However, the implementation of five sets of tee mean that the course can be enjoyed just as much by less gifted players.
Gil Hanse's work was named by Golf Digest as 'Best Private Remodel of 2007'.
