Colonial Country Club was built in 1929. It has fairways of bermuda grass and greens of bent grass, water hazards and lots of bunkers. Visitors restricted, contact club for details.The 18-hole par 70 layout is consistently rated as one of the best courses in the United States as well as the world. Colonial hosted the 1941 U.S. Open, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship, the 1991 U.S. Women's Open, and continues to host a PGA Tour event.
