The Woodlands Country Clubwas founded in 1978 with the opening of the TPC Woodlands course (a public course now a private members course andrenamed The Tournament Course).
The Tournament Course was designed by the golf design firm of Hagge-Devlin. It isa 7,018 yard par 72 course (off theback tees) which playedhost to the Shell Houston Open until 2004. It's a fantastic course with its island green on the 13th and strong finishing holes earning it the accolade of beingrated by the Houston Chronicle asthe 'Number 1 Public Golf Course in Houston, Texas'.
The course is always excellently maintained and the superb designwinds its way through the village of Grogan's Mill and imbides a sense of tranquility with well integrated ponds, banks of mature trees and pristine landscaping.
Thecourse has fairways of bermuda grass and greens of bent grass.
The recently refurbished clubhouse offers facilities to match the quality of the course.
