Blackwolf Run Golf Course was built in 1988. It has fairways of bluegrass and greens of bent grass, water hazards and lots of bunkers. Visitors are welcome.Melded into a river basin, formed by the flows of a glacial runoff, Blackwolf Run features two courses which have hosted the U.S. Women's Open and the World Championship of Golf. The River course is one of the most challenging and scenic destinations in North America. Meadow Valleys course is described as both subtle and devilish, it winds through meadows and charges across ravines, reflecting the natural features of the Wisconsin terrain. Scores of bunkers and water areas shored with railroad ties complement the Scottish influences in Pete Dye's work.
