I am a Rules Committeeman for the Southern California Golf Assn. (SCGA) and officiate at many SCGA and college golf tournaments throughout the year. I also am the Rules Chairman for the Walking Golfers of Southern California, an affiliate golf club in the SCGA. We golf the third Monday of every month at a different golf course in either Orange, San Diego, Riverside, Los Angeles, or San Bernardino County. We always walk the course, hence our name. We use SCGA handicaps for each event and your performance at each event could entitle you to receive points, he who has the most points at the end of September is crowned the club champion and gets to play in the SCGA Tournament of Club Champions in December. We just started our new year yesterday (10/20) and we are always looking for people to join us. We are a small group of usually 16 players each month, but would like to increase our membership to about 30. If you are a male and interested, then please contact me at epernal@cox.net. All of our members are at least 50 years of age. You don't need mountain climbing gear to walk the courses on which we play. If you like to golf, like to walk, and like to be with those who like the same things you like, then please contact me.
